Well, it seems to me that you’ve taken the first step in changing the vantage point: realizing that it is one. Accomplishing a perspective change is one of the goals of certain types of meditation, although it can happen spontaneously — it’s probably what some people who talk about “altered states of mind” mean, although I’m talking about an actual perspective displacement, not just an altered state of consciousness.

When it happens, since it is not just a body of opinions, or knowledge, it’s a bit like an earthquake. It comes hard. And it is the reason that I used the word “irreconcilable” to describe the divide between scientists (not science) and traditional meditation — from their vantage point, much of what spiritual traditions talk about is just empty of substantive meaning, and that vantage point is their scientific worldview, sometimes described as a view from nowhere.
