This is the germ of Fascism, a governmental system based on the idea that some people are better than others. In this case you are proposing scientists and ‘experts’ who will govern by “manufacturing consent.”

It’s understandable that fear drives the need to chuck our democratic ideals out the window in this ‘crisis’ (remember the importance of an informed electorate though?). That’s why totalitarian governments manufacture crises all the time. Perhaps we should all (re)read Noam Chomsky’s book on “manufacturing consent” before it’s too late.

Where is the fear coming from? The “pandemic of the unvaccinated,” as it has been framed of late in public discourse. Not the fear of the virus. That has been supplanted by fear of the unvaccinated, which, by the way, includes the millions of people with natural immunity gained from having survived the virus without medical assistance, and who see no reason, at the moment, to take vaccines away from the majority of humans who have not had access to even one shot. This demonization tactic has good ‘experts’ behind it. Take this expert’s testimony, for example:
