That’s actually a very good example of how the structure of the result of constructive scientific theories are already baked in so that the only possible outcome is a mechanistic construction.
But I must protest that science is revealing this because so far no algorithm processing units have been discovered in any biological system. Nor any prerecorded algorithms. And of course no machine codeset to actually execute the algorithms. Can you imagine what would happen if someone actually discovered the language compiler for the implementation language used? We’d never hear about because it would be the key to everything. And that’s why I protest at the suggestion that science is revealing something like this. Plus, IMHO, it’s such a ridiculous assertion that it’s more likely that some scientists are revealing themselves, rather than some truth, in this regard. An algorithm entails a step-by-step logical process to produce an effect. A series of steps, without any logical tests, like DNA replication, is not an algorithm. Nor are the proteins produced by DNA an algorithm. It’s possible that DNA contains a template for producing proteins, but that is not an algorithm either. It’s just associations of nucleotides that drive a sequential — as constructive scientists look at it — process of producing proteins. Nothing algorithmic about it.
I appreciate your taking the time responding, Kim.
