Thanks for sharing you experience Sylvia. Yes, the experience of infinite bliss is wonderful, but ultimately not the goal, although the experience of it does seem to have the general effect of breaking — to varying degrees — our attachment to judging everything in our lives. Judgements of the discerning mind are useful when you go out into a forest, for example, and harvest wild mushrooms, but not so useful when they are focused on events and concerns over which we have no control. In the latter case, all the judging we do tends to create suffering where none should be, as you have discovered for yourself. And you final comment, which is an excellent and perceptive take on what is actually happening when others judge us, or criticize us, or even complement us — it’s always more of a disclosure about what they are going through, than it is a reflection upon us.
