It is important for all of us to, while not turning on backs on science, never lose sight of the fact that the kind of knowledge that science gives us — being at scales beyond our human scale — is beyond the ability of all humans to experience directly, and thus will never help us to gain wisdom. For that, we must turn within, as millennia of our ancestors have done, so that we can directly experience and develop wisdom, about ourselves.
