Hi Tom, your commentary is beautifully said, and I am honored to hear your take on what I am writing. I do believe that we must meet people ‘where they are’ if we are to be of any help to them. That is why I am sharing my ‘technical’ skills with meditation, as you are, and have written articles like “How To Be Invincible,” which assumes no knowledge of anything else I am writing about. These articles, and a raft of new ones coming, are in the Practices section of my publication Tranquillity’s Secret.

But I always feel pressed to do more, explain more, even though I know there are very few readers with the interest or time to read long detailed texts. The easy meditation practice in the article I mentioned above can be used anywhere, at any time, without knowing why it is so powerful. Because, as you said so very accurately, “It is behaving in certain ways consistently over time that changes how we see things, in the direction of The Great Perfection.” It is important to consistently practice, and less important to read the hows and whys, but there comes a time when a question will arise, and a wrong answer, or an incorrect assumption, can create obstructions in the way forward. So I share all that I have experienced, even though most have no use for it yet.

But there is another motivation for my efforts, which is born more out of my life experiences than my meditative insights. I know that our time horizon is nowadays culturally very short, but unlike for prior generations of humans, I don’t think the future extends much further than that. We are the generation, you and I, that are most responsible for what is happening to our world today, having been present while more than 50% of all global warming gases ever emitted have been released into our atmosphere. We are now watching COP(out) 26 in mutation, with a number of countries, and industries, working hard to ensure that nothing changes.

So it is up to us—we have to change. And part of that change comes from consistently practicing these mediation techniques, which are uniquely capable of changing us, for reasons that the articles in the Insights section of Tranquillity’s Secret explain. But the most pressing change is to how we understand ourselves, this world, and how we can ensure that all thrive, by changing the everyday calculus of how we live our lives together. And it is mostly in the hope that others will see some value in what I am sharing, and that they will begin to teach and share the techniques and explanations in turn. It is a hope for an organic revolution in our society and cultures.

Thank you, Tom, for your efforts, and again, for your commentary. 🙏🏼
